OT: The Walking Dead - BEWARE OF SPOILERS

Last nights episode was pretty good for Tyrese, Im surprised the fight between Rick and him was so short and Rick won so easily as opposed to the comics where it was so much more brutal. I understand they cant draw it out but it could have been a little more intense and longer. Am I the only one that is tiring of Daryl? They really are working too hard to make him the too cool for school character, He needs to be a little more background for me or Im going to start wishing for this death soon. I also think it would be just great if Herschels simple remedy just cured everyone lol. They make all this effort to go out and get antibiatoics and a simple tea saves them so anti climatic... I still want to tear the writers a new one seriously people this is END OF THE WORLD stuff where if you die you come back and kill so you isolate a couple dozen people that have a high chance of dying into the same room? with no real lockdown. If one turns then its another outbreak have they learned nothing? Im seriously thinking as a group these people are far too stupid and complacent. It may be better to be in a smaller group of 3 to 5 to have a better chance of survival. I get the fact writers need to bring in a complex plot to keep it "riveting" but cmon... the group is smarter than they are showing them to be. Carol is changing or is fully changed to the lone survivor. I like how she has become, a bit careless mind you but she has learned so much from Sophias loss on how to toughen up. She was incredibly callous when she admitted to killing Karen and Marcus(was that his name?) the group dyanmic is all changing so much with her and beth just not caring so much about death anymore. For the comic book readers did any of you have a tinge of excitement when Herschel was about to go out by himself? (Hunter Series plot)

he struck me as being on the show because he thought he needed to be on the show ... because the show (walking dead) is cool and its good pr for him

the first 5 or so minutes he didnt answer any questions and went off on tangents and wouldnt let ozzies kid or the producer/writer get a word in ... it was like he didnt know the actual storylines that had been going on and boned up on the material for the show and then let go of a memory dump

i turned it off too ... i have it pvr'ed and mattola says he got more lucid but i doubt i will watch it ... maybe fast forward through it to see the sneak peek at next week

how do you all think they roll out negan on to the show?

I get the feeling he might be introduced as the "warlord" that the Governor was an underling to and dealt with to keep woodbury safe without anyones knowledge. (this is not how it goes in the comics)

I just have a feeling thats how the tv world would handle the graphic novel material ... tidy way to do away with the governor and move on to bigger and badder things ?

Good call on Carol. Thought there'd be someone wrongfully accused before we found out who did it. Then again Rick will probably keep it quiet to protect her. I've been waiting for Carol to make a bold, misguided move with good intentions. Didn't think this was going to be it though. Nice twist!

best you stay away from it then.. .I always find any talking dead with a producer on it sucks for the most part as they really try to direct your thinking into their idea of how the show SHOULD be interpreted like they want to herd their sheep. I like the way Hardwick spoke to Manson and was really looking forward to him on the show it was just incredibly disappointing in how bad he was and the bolded part you stated makes me believe that is the case.

wouldnt that be something? after everything that group went through and Glenn goes out that way. I think it would be pretty ballsy to do. that and killing Daryl. I am ALL for killing Daryl to knock out the fan girls reaction to him....

That scene with Tyrese was essentially from the comic. It was MUCH more epic in the comic, and it happened in the prison in the comic as opposed to in the open, but it did come from the comic.

In both situations, he was in an angst-riddled fog and essentially throwing in the towel only to come out a MAJOR bad-ass and ready to do some damage and help the group in any way needed.

I wonder if they will use Tyrese to re-introduce the Governor? That would suck...
