Lol.

I've really enjoyed this second 1/2 of the season so far. Lots of good character development and interesting conversations.

Michone's moments in this last episode were really good - stepping up and saying what she thought. She really rolled over Rick. She Rick Rolled him.

I spent the whole episode agreeing with Michone, and wishing Rick would be a little more trusting.

Carol's line to Rick at the end was perfect though. "Even though you were wrong, you were still right."

He's lost his trust... and his razor.

By season 8, he's going to look like this:

I think it's too predictable that this apparent sanctuary turns out to be another nightmare for Rick's group, at least in the sense that it's run by corrupt/evil people. I think the terror that we'll see behind the walls will be the one that Rick unleashes on its current residence, thanks to his paranoia.

I really liked the shout-out to Dale via the RV. I guess being reminded of Dale is what brought back Glenn's human side. Hopefully this is a turning point for Glenn's character. I liked him the first couple of seasons but he's annoyed me ever since. He's become just another surly alpha-male, something this show has plenty of already.

Was anybody else waiting for Rick to have Aaron drink the water he had left? The whole time in the barn, I kept expecting it to happen.

I was expecting that happen. But I think they covered that when Rick had him eat the apple sauce.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty interesting. Definitely a lot of character growth and change this half season.

The characters and the relationships in the show have been strong, but some of the suspension of disbelief would be a little easier if the writers/producers would put a little thought into some of this stuff:
-Carl - "these people are soft." Not so much the line itself, but if they really are soft as a group or as stupid and careless as their "patrol guys" were, how would they have made it this far?
-Thought it was funny they had "jobs" too. In a post-apocalyptic society, you'd be a FARMER! You'd ALL be fucking farmers!! Not the village accountant, not a kid playing video games - "you, you, and you, guard the walls. The rest of you, we're working all day to stay alive by making food. Oh, you're 14 and want to play pool. Well guess what, I don't want to die this winter. Let's go."
-Stop with the scavenging runs already. The food has all gone bad at this point. And if this group had been here the whole time, wouldn't they have to travel a long way to get to new places they hadn't hit already?

A lot of this was covered in the ep. Alexandria was built as a post-apocalyptic safe-zone. It was stocked with supplies from the beginning, by design. They have not run into a lot of zombies because Virginia was well evacuated in the early stages of the outbreak. They have survived because they had good leadership. They still go scavenging because the surrounding area is pretty much metropolis. While we don't really SEE this (one of my main gripes with the show at this point), there are lots of shopping centers, grocery stores, homes, storage depots, etc in this area.

similar type sentiment in the comics that the people/leadership of Alexandria were soft ... what can you say ... they live comfortable lives in contrast so how can they not be looked at as soft. Due to their lucky circumstances, theyve been able to thrive without much conflict

But yes ... they are smart, and they have watched Rick and the group for a while and brought them in for a reason. Theyve seen what ricks group can do and we saw at the end of last nights episode what kinda of role rick and his group will be needed for

do you think maybe something else will be revealed by seasons end that will answer why they still have to go on supply runs ?

Fair enough, but we've seen military zones overrun by the zombies. So even if it was stocked from the beginning, how would those military places not hold but this one does?

I thought they built the walls post-apocalypse, or am I wrong about that.

It's like Rick's group has known each other for so long. I think inside they know what's been going on. But they know the game and they're, gonna play it.

youre right about the bold ... i dont think that Deanna mentioned it was built as a post apocalyptic safe zone ... unless i was drunk ... thought she said it was just a gated community that was built and that people could buy their dream home for 800K
