I didn't even think of the Noah/Morgan potential connection. I think that is a bit of a stretch, but it is a TV show, so certainly in the realm of possibility.

The link I DID notice was that he mentioned he was from Virginia, and that his "home" had "walls".

Anyone who knows the comics know what I am putting down, and are likely picking it up...

I think it's most likely that the uncle mentioned was nothing more than a minor detail of Noah's backstory and we'll never hear mention of him again.

However, if it is a character known to the audience then I changed my mind as to who that might be. I think Gabriel is a lot more likely than Morgan. That could be why Noah was lurking around the church and led Dawn's officers there where they all crossed paths with Carol and Daryl.

Again, while possible, I think the existing doctors explanation makes the most sense. She just wanted an extra doctor so that she would have all the leverage in the group dynamic.

For a character that didn't show much emotion most of the time, she sure got emotional about saving this guy when she found out who he was. I think she would have been quite adamant about adding another doctor to the team regardless, but without an immediate need for him, I don't think she would have been that emotional about it. I only caught the whisper the 2nd time around, so when I watched it the 1st time and not yet knowing he was an oncologist, I figured this guy was someone known to her pre-apocalypse by how emotional she was. Most likely someone she had previously been romantically involved with. When I watched the 2nd time though and noticed the whisper and then her reaction to it, I realized that she doesn't know this guy personally at all but she sure needs him for something bad.

That being said, I changed my mind again as to who has the brain tumour. I'm leaning more towards it not being Dawn but someone we've not met yet and the only other person in that hospital she cares about. Probably a boyfriend/husband. A child doesn't seem too likely but would be interesting. Maybe it's the guy in the picture Beth saw in Dawn's office. I can't remember if they said the former leader was dead or not. I interpreted that to be the case, but maybe he's still alive but just not in charge anymore. Maybe they had a thing and that's who she's desperately trying to save and using anyone else she can to make it happen.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens but it sure is fun to speculate in the meantime.

I missed that. I will keep my eyes out for that when I rewatch the ep later this week.

I think the "needs him for something bad" is as others have mentioned ... the leverage to get rid of Dr Edwards because in their interactions, Dawn seems like she is completely done with him

Not a bad episode for me considering I really don't care much about any of these characters (okay some are nice to look at). The flashbacks were pretty cool. Anxious to see what happens with Carol and Daryl (and Noah?) next week.

I think he still has value, he still has survival skills that can be used for the team effort. He deserved he beating, but not death.

Also, as the plot lines are splitting up and there are multiple stories to follow, I keep wondering what is going on with Rick Grimes and co. and also if khaleesi has made it across the Narrow Sea.
