Anybody been watching this new season at all? I have been catching them on demand. For a while I really didnt enjoy the show, and Michael leaving probably would have made it worse for me. However these first few weeks I have enjoyed a lot. It is different than what the show used to be, but I can finally watch it again without zoning out every 5 minutes. Robert California needs to in episodes a lot more. Practically everything I know about anything has came from this character's lips.

The past few seasons have been kind of rough and I did not have too much hope for this one but I have been pleasantly surprised. Narddog getting the job seems to be a good decision so far.

It is kind of painful watching this show die, having all the pieces fall into place.

So you guys can book the following right now:

-Pam starts to lose trust in Jim after she finds out he didnt tell her about the sports marketing thing, only to have Jim salvage their marriage right before he leaves Dunder Mifflin, even though it was never endangered.

-Oscar, while continuing to be an opinionated prick, busts Angela and proves to her the Senator is gay.

-Spawning from that, Dwight and Angela get back together. We find out that the DNA test they took was defected, and that her child is actually Dwight's.

-Toby and Meredith are gonna start fucking. Yeah. Take it to the god damn bank.

-The new interns guys are going to push hard for Erin, including Erin almost doing something with Skinny Intern. But like Jim and Pam, Andy will swoop in and save their never endangered relationship. It is later announced they are married, and are moving back to Florida to start and elderly care home.

-With Andy gone, Toby becomes Regional Manager. Hell ensues.

-Stanley retires, does not give one fuck.

The first 4 seasons or so were brilliant. Then they really started reaching on plot lines, it started becoming more over the top and unbelievable, the characters became caricatures of themselves. it became much more sitcomish. But early on it was so good. It's smart humor, not the standard sitcom which is why I'm shocked it has lasted this long.

I feel like the decline started when Holly came around. That bitch ruined our fun.

At least I am getting into Parks and Recreation. It seems so fresh.

I've seen a couple of episodes. It is a very similar style of humor. NBC is struggling and they make a lot of bad shows, but I must say I love that they don't have a laugh track in every comedy and the humor in their shows is very intelligent. It's not the typical formula of obvious setup, predictable punchline, cue the laugh track, repeat for 20 minutes. You actually have to know when to laugh and know when things are funny. For that I give NBC a lot of credit.

Parks is good, I prefer Community.

The Office should have certainly ended when Michael left, probably when Jim and Pam got married. Last season was a train wreck. Oddly enough I think this season is better than it has been the last couple. I know the original show runner is back.

Oh and man do I love Holly. (and Amy Ryan - not sure why but I do)

I've got to agree with you, and I feel like that different kind of humor is what made me fall in love with The Office when I first started watching. But now like you mentioned, I feel like they just really push the story lines. It got to the point when (I think it was Michael's final season) I would seriously get 5 minutes in and turn the TV off. It was not even humor, just bland complicated stories.

It was a good run though, and I will miss the show. It is time for an end though.

Its really stupid (in a good way to me) and off beat at times. I can see why some people love it and other hate it.

Perfect, I love stupid humor! :)
