Lol.

Also, who knew the route from the Shire to Mordor simply takes one across Chicago.

looks good , not much darkside in this one ????

There is some. But the Hobbit was much more of a light-hearted adventure compared to the Lord of the Rings which has much bigger themes of good v. evil following a quest that seems doomed to failure and explores the nature of our flaws (and facing them) more than the Hobbit ever did. The Hobbit is a really good story. The Lord of the Rings is a great piece of literature.

Im pretty sure Peter Jackson will raise the level of this for Adults. Less songs I would imagine. I think this may be a bigger challenge for him than the first 3.

No "Fifteen Birds?" Haha.

Isn't The Hobbit going to be two parts? I thought I had heard that somewhere, but the trailer doesn't say Part I or anything.

I remember how amazing these books were when I was a kid. I even named my guinea pig Pippin. ;) Nice to see them all translated on to the silver screen so well. I couldn't understand for the longest time how nobody had made a movie out of them (aside from that late 1970s half live/half animated weird film). The cartoon was good, but it probably hurt Hollywood from seeing Tolkien's books as a viable, adult film for a long time.
