Rediscovered John Mayall's "A Sense of Place" recently. If you don't know, he's the guy that got Clapton started on Blues.

And here I was, thinking that I was the only person on this side of the Atlantic who had ever heard of Gary Moore - Or at least that what it often felt like whenever I tried to talk music with other people!
First became aware of him back in '79, during one of his many stints with Thin Lizzy. I've probably got close to 18 albums of his, from Blues to '80s Metal to Jazz Fusion.
Damn Gary was good: Tied with Robin Trower for my favorite 'guitar sound' ever. Shame that he passed away in early '11.
