OMG I CANT FUCKING WAIT TO SEE THE AAC COVERED IN VICTORY GREEN!

I love playoff hockey. They're gonna put a free vic green shirt in every seat, and put a white towel in every seat. Its gonna look so fucking epic. And I think we have a decent shot at making it past the first round. Now that we're in the playoffs.... anything can happen.

I'm so happy right now. Thanks to the people who contribute to this thread cuz I know you guys have watched and paid attention to every game just like me

Hell yeah!! The Stars are the one team I care about as much as the Rangers. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Mavs and Cowboys. But I am extremely passionate about the Stars and Rangers. I am just about as happy tonight as I was when the Rangers finally made it back to the playoffs in 2010.

Dallas has been a great hockey town in the past and has only really struggled lately since the bankruptcy took hold, all of the fan favorites were sold off, and the playoff drought started. This town deserves a competitive hockey team again. I don't think we'll win the Cup by any means, but I do think we could surprise and pull off a series upset or two. I love playoff hockey!!

Quick question, would anyone here put Kari in the top 5 goalies in the NHL? I just watched philly and pittsburgh play, and I truly think he's better than fleury. But you have quick, miller, varlamov, howard, and so many others that could be in the argument

Top 5 no, Top 10 yes.

Howard and Varlamov aren't top 5 either.

I would put Lundqvist, Quick, Rask, Price, and Bobrovsky as the top 5. Next 5 would be Rinne, Harding, Varlamov, Lehtonen, and Niemi. Just missing out, only due to age/experience, would be Khudobin and Bishop.

Miller, Luongo, Fleury, Crawford, and Howard are all overrated or products of the teams in front of them.

Lundqvist has had a down year, but he's been hands down the league's best goalie for about the last 5 years. I'm not willing to drop him out of the top 5 due to a down year by his standards. He's still a great goalie.

Bring on the Quacks! Anaheim's size vs. Dallas's speed... should be a great series!

Actually the Stars have a really good fanbase. If it wasn't for Hick and the bankruptcy years thing would have never gotten as bad as they did and the arena would be mostly full just about every home game. I do think the Stars have a great and passionate fanbase.

Purchasing tickets for game 2 at home right now!!!!

Enjoy the game.... The cool thing about playoff hockey is that everyone has a chance.in the NBA, you have to be a top 4 seed to get far. Didn't the Ducks win the stanley cup as a 7 seed and the kings win it as an 8 seed? I don't follow hockey closely.... But I usually watch the Olympic hockey team so I know a thing or two about it.

Oh ya. And its weird how all the experts are saying "The Stars won this offseason by far! All of the moves they've made, plus the natural progression of their younger core, should make them a Stanley Cup threat!" Prediction: finish worse than last year

I have yet to see any analyst proclaim them a Stanley Cup threat. Most are saying that they are an up-and-coming team in the West, that their offense is loaded, and they will go as far as their young and inexperienced defense can take them. Some are predicting slight regression even. I disagree. I see them as about a 6-seed in the West behind Chicago, Anaheim, St Louis, Los Angeles, and maybe San Jose.

I agree. I just read an article talking about their the defense, or lack thereof. I trust Nill to address our issues, but he has a lot of faith in our youngsters.
