Fuck you, Pac-10 refs. Not like it really matters, because Wisconsin wasn't going to the championship game or an at-large BCS bowl anyway, but that was an atrocious end to the game. Let's talk about what happened here.

The Badgers have the ball in the red zone, down two, with 18 seconds to play. They want to move the ball to the center of the field, kneel it, then spike it quickly to set up the game winning field goal. The Badger QB kneels the ball with 15 seconds to go, then places it on the ground. The refs blow the whistle, so you can tell that the play is dead. The ASU defense then jumps on the ball, which doesn't allow the official to spot the ball. That's a delay of game penalty. Then they get OFF the ball with 4 seconds to go and the ref continues to not allow the Badgers to snap the ball. Then time runs out and the game is over.

Fuck.

That.

BULLSHIT.

I dunno, He didn't "kneel" the ball down he placed it on the ground without taking a knee. Could that have been considered a fumble? I can see where the confusion came from he should have kneeled down not placed it down.
