btw, watched the Kansas v Iowa State game last night ... I want no part of Josh Jackson in the draft ... at least not in the top 8 or so picks. Watched 4 Kansas games this year and consider me not impressed with his game. I think he has too much developing to do before he ever becomes a big contributor at the next level.

Agree! He is a highlight film, but is not a great shooter.

Josh Johnson's game reminds me a good deal of Corey Brewer out of Florida 8-10 years ago. Brewer's hasn't been much more than a role player at the NBA level. Same issues with mediocre ball handling and sub par shooting.

Same thing was said about Kawhi Leonard too. Jackson has everything you want in a potential wing IMO.

It's hard to judge because sometimes they develop into something and sometimes they don't. Kawhi developed into an All Star, but I can name a ton of athletic 6'8" guys whom many expected great things out of but never materialized. That's not to say I wouldn't take Johnson if we end up in the middle of Rd 1 and he's still there ... I forget where Kawhi went, but I think he went outside the top 10. I'm just not taking him in the top 5 off the games I've seen him in.

Another win ... 7 out of the last 9. Wish Ilyasova was 4 years younger. The culture is changing ... they now "believe" they can win games. Embiid may get some MVP love if they keep this up in the 2nd half.

REY! Tell them to stop winning so much! We need a stud PG, and SG! Fultz (or Ball) and Monk are my preferences.

You can really see the confidence of the Sixers growing with each win. The Process is also just a vivacious guy, a fun kid, and he seems to get better as the fans cheer him on which is awesome to watch.

As long as the Kings end up with a pick between 1 - 10 we have the right to switch our pick with them and it's not top 3 protected. So, from my understanding we should be rooting for the Kings to lose from here on out if we keep winning games. Obviously we also need to root for the Lakers to stay out of the top 3.

Gay's out for the year, they should fall. Sadly, 4 of the next 9 games are back to backs, so Joel, will probably only be in 1/2 of those. It'll be a mix of what the sixers/kings pick lands at as well as if the Lakers wind up with a top 3 (they suck again as always, while they tried to make moves to be relevant...)

As long as we get 2 lottery picks, I think we'll be OK.

The Sixers would make the playoffs this year if Embiid was playing the back to backs in the remainder of the games this year. He's that dominant already. But holding him out is the right thing to do.

We will be a playoff team next year, and a pretty high seed to boot. 4 or better.

Embiid is a huge difference maker and he's just scratching the surface. Once he's in there every game as well as playing 32+ minutes per game ... sky's the limit. And that's without even considering how much better they will be once Ben Simmons gets thrown into the mix ... and "possibly" 2 lottery picks this year. Barring any more big injuries this team has a very bright future.

Good game tonight between NC State (Dennis Smith) and Duke (Jayson Tatum) ... Smith was excellent, would be so sweet to see him in a Sixer's uni. SF Tatum certainly has game ... we just don't need any more forwards.

Smith has been 1 on my board since I started looking at these prospects coming into college. IMO, he's the best player in the draft and not too close. I would kill to get him.

Yeah, he already has a pro game ... similar to Steve Francis, can drive to the basket almost at will ... but can also hit the outside shot. His only draw back is that he "sometimes" tries to do too much ... but that can be said for many of the really talented players. He would fit really well playing with Simmons because we need a PG with scoring ability since Simmons will be sharing PG duties from whatever position he's playing.

Simmons can be the point forward or guard. To me the most pressing need is a 2 guard, or a PG who is also an excellent shooter - one who can hit on 45% threes.

I think we can put a pretty good lineup with DSJ with the current roster.

DSJ
Bayless (or Stauskas)
Covington
Simmons
Embiid

With one of Bayless/Stauskas, Covington, and Embiid on the floor you got plenty of shooting for the defensive rotation carnage DSJ and Simmons and even Embiid can force off the dribble. It would be unstoppable. A 1/5 PnR with DSJ/Embiid is scary and you can even run 1/4 and 4/5 PnRs.

DSJ also has elite defensive tools, but really doesn't try on that end of the ball. He's Iverson like there in that he's got elite steal numbers but on ball not that great.

He carried a team that had no business winning last night on his back.

I think the draft process will show he's the top prospect in the draft, but Ball might give him a run for the money.

Lots of talent in the draft, I'm just really hoping that Lakers pick transfers.

You're going to be really happy, then. Lonzo Ball and Fultz will most likely be 1/2 in the draft. Personally, I think Smith may even fall out of the top 5.

If the Lakers pick transfers, I am fine with almost any combination of Monk/Smith/Fox and Markkanen/Isaac/Tatum/Jackson.

It's a really good draft for the Sixers with their current roster.
