It's likely going to be Noel for Jeff Teague which I'm ok with. Ish Smith is a free agent and we would get a vet with solid scoring ability to help run the Offense. Keeping Okafor until we're completely sure Embiid can stay healthy makes sense. I'm still all about bringing in Allen Crabbe as our one free agent guy to play the 2 Guard spot. Teague/Crabbe would give us a nice Back Court.

Ish Smith and Jeff Teague are essentially the same player (based on Real Plus Minus and Win Shares). Why trade for a player you already have?

Ish Smith is an unrestricted free agent isn't he?

Teague will be as well after the year. No way he's sticking around for a rebuild in his twilight years. Horrible short sited trade if this actually happens. Doesn't make a ton of sense to trade for a PG if you are taking Simmons. Put the ball in the kids hands. Otherwise they better take Ingram.

Ish feels so much more forced to me though. He feels like one of those guys who's only getting this shot because that roster sucks, and you put him on a decent team and he's an 11th man.

Not a big Teague fan at all, but Ish feels like that guy who'll be in the D league in a couple years. Like he's only there because of the huge void.

It wouldn't be "just" for Teague ... obviously that would be one sided. I'm sure there would be sweeteners in our favor.

I'd like to find a way to get PG Demetrius Jackson from Notre Dame ... he's probably going to go around the 12-16 range. I love his game; can drive, can shoot and plays above the rim despite being around 6'1". I'd trade both our other firsts to move up and snag him.

Actually I just saw that he's projected to go in the 20's ... so maybe we can stay put and still get him. Can't believe he's rated so low, I think the kid's a heck of a PG prospect.

Noel for Teague would be a tragic mistake. Noel is 22. Teague is 27.

Colangelo family is going to royally fuck up our franchise. It's sad.

Hmm, supposedly teams are offering the Lakers three firsts to try and trade up for Ingram.

Well, we'll have to wait and see, Iggy, and give them a chance. Keep the faith!

NBA Draft Express has him as the 17th pick in their Mock. That's much closer to his talent level than a 2nd rounder which imo is crazy talk ...

I would give up the other two firsts and give the Lakers back their first for Ingram in a heartbeat.

Just watched Draft Express. I had lost track of that site. I agree that he is very talented, and will go in the 1st round. If the Sixers can't come away with Simmons + Murray, or Dunn - I think they'd make a move up to get Jackson, late 1st. Thanks Rey!

As an ND fan, I would love to see Demetrius on the Sixers. I am fairly certain he will never be an All-star in the NBA, but I do think he brings more to the table than he takes off. If he can improve his jump shot he would have a chance to someday be an All-star, but it would require quite a bit of improvement in that area. Also, his athleticism won't stand out in the pros like it tended to in college. All in all, I think he is a tweener guard and that might be his downfall. He definitely isn't a 2, but he really isn't a pure 1 either.

The NBA Draft is so different than the NFL Draft ... in most years you really don't expect too much from players after the first 5-10 picks. If you snag a player n the 15-18 area you are pretty happy if he can settle in as a starter. Making an All Star team would be an added bonus. I think Jackson has a chance to either be a starter or if nothing else to be a very solid bench player. The problem with some of these guys is that they sometimes try to carry too much of the load and their shooting percentages sometimes suffer because of it. Demetrius has a really good shot and long as he doesn't tru to play over his head, should become a starter at the pro level. He has a really nice combo of skills imo.

I would too ... in a heartbeat. A healthy Embiid along with Simmons and Ingram? Ohh hell yeah. Plus that's not even taking into account the player we would be getting back if we trade either Okafor or Noel.
