Agreed. Vancouver probably deserve to lose, but that was a weak call to give Donovan a PK. If that's a PK, the clip on Thorrington should probably have been called a PK too. Ah well, it was mostly shithouse luck to be up 1-0 for so long.

Women's sports are brutal. I remember when I was really young (maybe 7 or 8) playing box lacrosse the girls and guys played together. The girls were absolutely viscious.

I remember playing against a local Indo-Canadian team when one of our players was shoving back and forth a bit against one of their players as they ran up the field; nothing really serious, just some light shoves. Next thing you know the guys dad runs onto the field, tackles our guy and starts punching him in the head, then the dads kid jumps in and starts bitch slappin at his dad. It was ugly and funny at the same time.

I was playing softball in a stockbroker league a while ago, and there was one of the opponent's players who was chirping REALLY incessantly and obnoxiously throughout the game, to everyone. totally over the line for a co-ed beer league game, and his teammates were getting tired of it too.
He was center field, and I was up to the plate. he starts chirping, and comes in really close daring me to hit over his head. well I did, and brought in two runs in tight game. Standing on 3rd, i start giving him the gears, and he plays the race card. I said "you're not an asshole because you're black, you're an asshole because you're acting like an asshole". we pile on a few more runs in the inning, and when he finally comes in after the inning, his teammate goes after him with a baseball bat. Was funny as hell to watch. I don't remember whether we ever did finish that game.
