very stupid time to have an international window ... all teams in europe are training and about to start their leagues ... in the case of the US and Canada ... you have players in euro leagues fighting for starting spots on teams ... and you expect them to fly back over to North America and play meaningless friendlies to jeopardize those spots on their club teams

dumb!

at least canada is just going with kids today v Trinidad and Tobago

The United States made history tonight. They beat Mexico at Azteca stadium for the 1st time ever. They are now 1-23-1 against Mexico on the road. A bunch of guys didn't play for the U.S. Dempsey wasn't in the lineup. DeMarcus Beasley was. Orozco with the game winner.:usa:

A wins a win I guess. I just wish it would have been in a meaningful game, with a full house, on a sunny day with a 2pm local start. Corner kicks become an event in themselves.

last nights Whitecaps Dallas game was the worst game Ive been to this year

lots of fuel for the "mens game is filled with diving" crowd ... the reffing was atrocious ... n1ggly (wow thats a banned word?) foul after foul was called which led to lots of embellishment because of it

there was almost a bust up between the Dallas and Vancouver radio broadcast crews as well lol

anyways David Ferreira is better than this

when somebody falls like that, it's OK to accidentally trip on them and land pointy-knee first right square on their back.

FC Dallas capitalized on their chances and that was the difference last night. Having said that, the ref was terrible. FC Dallas players were flopping all over the pitch last night (that dive by Ferriera was atrocious).

Until FIFA starts suspending for simulation after the fact then it will continue unfortunately.

MLS has been known to break from FIFA rules (or make their own rules) ... hell they suspend after the fact based on extraordinary circumstances

I think it would be a big step forward for soccer in north america if they put their foot down on this

/on that note: rumblings that Barry Robson might get a 1 game suspension for blasting the ball at the side official

Kenny Miller probably wants to go home lol

"It was the most frustrating game I think I've ever played in...

"The referee blows for every single body contact. The linesmen are just flagging, just guessing. But we have to do better."

my bad that quote was from Robson

Referee calls 41 fouls in 'Caps 2-0 defeat - Goal.com

*snicker*

VANCOUVER – In a way, it was fitting that three members of Canada’s bronze medal winning Women’s Olympic soccer team were on hand at BC Place to witness the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-0 loss to FC Dallas.

Just like Emily Zurrer, Karina LeBlanc and Sophie Schmidt felt helpless at the hands of referee Christiana Pedersen in the semi-finals of that Olympic tournament, there was a similar feeling on Wednesday, as referee Matthew Foerster seemed single-minded in his attempt to bring the match to a standstill, calling a remarkable 41 fouls between the two teams

Chelsea winning the Champions League has hurt in more ways than one. Missing out on this year's Champions League has cost us existing players and new signings.

/ fucking Chelsea

Joey Barton to join Marseille on one-year loan deal? Wow, bizarre. Surprising.

Joey versus Zlatan will be fun to watch lol

Is it too early to talk relegation?!? Swansea is taking QPR to the woodshed 4-nil with still 15 minutes left to play.

Edit: Make that 5-nil (Michael Laudrup is enjoying it on the Swansea sideline)
