Now England looks like they score off a corner, but the ref rules no goal (I don't think anyone was offside). Must have called a foul on an English player.

/This ref must have some Norwegian blood in him.

Ronaldo dove to set up the free kick that Postiga scored on today (he was barely touched).

ENGLAND!

England, meanwhile, bows out of the tournament without a win, having gone 0-3 and scoring just once along the way

Seems like England is more concerned about the Premier League than developing talent for the national team.

/Germany U21 has struggled as well, but the Dutch look very good.

Do they need a soccer summit in Brasil? Not that I put much weight in FIFA rankings, but I can't remember seeing Samba Soccer ranked that low.

The US dominated last night, they could've won that game 6-0. I still don't have a ton of confidence in their ability to score though. Altidore is heating up which is great to see, but I'd like to see them capitalize on more of their chances in the box.

Nice win, the scoreless tie for Mexico was nice as well.

If my safety was guaranteed and there was no real threat of having bodily fluids thrown at me, I would love to experience a game at the Azteca. Witnessing these animals and the pandemonium in person must be surreal.

Barcelona and Argentina star Javier Mascherano is no stranger to a red card, but his latest dismissal is undoubtedly the most bizarre.

After being stretchered off during Argentina's World Cup qualifier with Ecudaor, the midfielder – who was nominated captain for the fixture – lashed out at a medic, kicking him before subsequently being sent off. The 29-year-old tried to justify his actions by saying: “The stretcher was going too fast and I was about to fall. I warned him (the driver) and he ignored me, but what I did was not justified."

The US is playing some really good soccer.

And I have to give props to the Seattle area fan base, that was a great atmosphere. I hope the US soccer powers take note and plan more events there. Ambiance like that is good for the sport and hopefully contagious to other cities.

I just wish some of those Seattle area soccer fans would toddle on down the street a little ways to Safeco Field, that's a pretty good up-and-coming baseball team plying their trade at that beautiful stadium.
