This tweet somehow hasn’t been deleted yet.

Lol. I liked the responses...
  • Blink twice if you're being held hostage.
  • Who's better in their prime - The Beatles or Sugar Ray?
  • Rory is a hard worker so I gotta go with him.

And for any putts longer than 80 feet that meanders across the green...

Played my 3rd round of the year today. Got paired with three local pros for an 8:00 AM tee time. Had a 4 birdie round of even par and topped them by 1, 3 and 7 (ouch).

Money may, or may not, have been involved. :D

They didn't disclose they were pros until the 11th hole and played the second tees from the back. Somehow they felt hustled in all this. Personally I just went to the store on the way home and bought a 12 year old bottle of Benriach with my winnings.

Feels good, especially since I've been battling to break 80 this year until today.

And to be fair I rarely play a round where I feel like the underdog. So I was very happy to play straight up even after our opening tee shots (which is when they proposed a money game). So I WAS kind of sandbagging.

But if you get paid to be at a golf course every day and hit balls / play golf every day you should be able to beat a washed up amateur player. They couldn't.

Unreal how good kids are getting now. Par was nothing we ever thought about when we were 12-15.

Give these kids the equipment from the early 90's - non-jumbo steel woods, steel irons, no rescue clubs and your ball choices were a Titleist Balata, DT or a rock like a Top Flite.

/also, we didn't have these drugs like Adderall to help either.

True. Even still I think the mentality has changed. These kids aren't "afraid" to go low.

Those Titleit balatas were the best, and the worst. So much spin but man they got destroyed fast.
