Jim Furyk was passed over for the President's Cup team as well - He loves the snub.

Grahan DeLaet makes the Tour Championship of the FedEx playoffs which earns him automatic entry into three of the four majors next year - Pretty neat.

Tiger wins golfer of the year for the 11th time.

Woods voted PGA Tour Player of the Year for 11th time

/President's Cup coming up soon.

Even though a lot of critics are saying he's done and won't win another major, he had the lowest scoring average on Tour this year yet again.

It will be interesting to see if he reaches Jack's record or not - I predict he'll end his career just ONE short.

Tiger needs to fix his putting, still hits the ball a mile and his irons are fine, it's the flat stick that is killing him.

As far as Tiger breaking Jack's record is concerned, I also think he will come up short, his body is breaking down and the other guys (especially the young ones) have no fear of Tiger anymore (his mental edge is gone).

Yeah, he finished ranked #47 in putts per round. It really seems to be in big moments, too. No part of his game is bad, he's just not that 2000-2005 Tiger we came to know. He was so far ahead of everyone back then that an off day meant he could still win. So while he's still among the top guys and in the top 1/4 of PGA golfers in almost every category, he doesn't have separation in a few categories like he used to.

In the early 2000s, he was hitting 72-75% of his greens in regulation, way above anyone else. Now he is in the 67-68% range like most of the top 50 guys. He used to be in the top 5 in driving in the early 2000s every year. He has only lost 1-2 yards, but now he's towards the bottom of the top 50 in driving distance while others have moved past him. And his driving accuracy was always his achilles.

Tiger has come back to Earth. He'll likely continue to be for the next 5+ years, so he'll have his shots. He's been in the top 11 in half the Majors this year and last. He's been in the Top 40 in all of them. He keeps hanging around up there and he'll win a few more of them. He's just not going to tear off 3 out of 6 or anything like he used to do. My guess is he'll win 2 or 3 in the next 5 years and then Jack will have a real sweat with Tiger in his 40s.

What I hope happens is his wins 4 in the next decade and then long after he's ceased being a top player he gets hot (a la Tom Watson in the British a couple years ago) and ties Jack with a major win in his early 50s.

His knee might not last that long though.

Tiger WAS juicing, IMO.

He's still amazing but injuries, age and a battered ego have cut him down to a mere golfing mortal.

I also think that his knee is going to be an issue. He's dropped a bit of mass though which should help a little.

I'm probably gonna head over there at some point this weekend. It's a dandy place to walk around.

Is it at Muirfield? I should really drive up and see some golf there one of these years - it's so close to DC and I never think of it.
.
Related note - I gotta get out on the golf course before it starts getting too cold. Haven't played since late July.

Yep. It's a beautiful course.

Come out for the Memorial sometime. Only about a six hour drive from DC. Unless you obey the speed limits.

At Muirfield it's not if it's gonna rain, it's when.

I'm at 17 tee and need to hide under the beer tent.

Not that I am complaining.

I'm watching it on TV right now. You know how people yell stuff right after a player tees off. I want to here an "Eloco" at 17. ;)

I like to see pro golfers dump tee shots into the water on par 3 holes - I think to myself, "I can do that".
