So after they removed chards of broken beer bottle from buddy's torso, what happened next?

Haha, don't think that would have ended well for me. There were three of them and I was feeling a bit jet-lagged because I'm two time zones away from home.

So to answer your question, I paid my bill and slunk back to my room where I checked the final score on my phone :lame:

thats too bad, I would think they had more hockey lovers there.
It was probably a traveler from San Antonio that was making the request...

a few years ago I had a guy tell me if I Wanted to watch hockey to go back to canada when I asked to turn hockey on in a bar in Los Angeles. he wasnt being mean, just that no one cared in the bar (it was not very busy)

Yeah, I guess since it was a hotel and not locals.

If the Avs were still playing (I knew I was coming here so I was disappointed when they lost) it probably would have been a different story.

That's when a bartender who's worth a damn would ask the other people if anyone minded if the channel was changed.

I have on many occasions, when it's a place with a whole bunch of TVs, asked them to put the hockey game on the one TV in the corner where most people can't see it.

crowd funding and kick starting campaigns are starting to irk me. Is it now when someone wants to start a product/business/film/game etc.. they are asking total strangers to fund it and not taking in most of the risk themselves? I can understand in some areas where a regular person tries it but when a guy like Shaq does it, that doesnt make sense to me, hes got a ton of cash.

Working inside a windowless lab on a day when it is 72, sunny and without a cloud in the sky.
