Amazon.

I bought a Roku, and while shopping and comparing they kept blasting me with popups telling me to try Prime. I declined to do that because, well, they have a Distribution Center about 75 miles away and I didn't want to have to deal with cancelling it later.

I placed my order last Wednesday. With Prime I would have had it guaranteed by Friday.

As of this morning, they haven't even shipped it.



Classy, Amazon. Real fucking classy.

Some lawn mowing doof must have run over my sewer cleanout in my front yard, about a 3rd of it is missing. At least I think its mine, I'm on a court so the property lines are weird in the front. No worries though, a quick trip to the hardware store and I bought a new one for $8. Now the only question is how to get the old one off. The square is not raised, its indented. Both major hardware stores I went to seemed confused.

The one I have looks pretty much exactly like the one above. The pipe is PVC, the cap is metal with a brass middle that unscrews. Not a big deal, they have tools on Amazon to get them off, I just thought it would be a 5 minute job.
The whole thing sticks out of the ground about 6", I have no idea how it got run over.

you could try using a socket wrench without a socket on

My IPOD died and I need the radio function for my commute(Sports on FM radio in NYC) so I bought a new one. 2 days later the fucking thing dies. The receipt says 90 day return policy. I bring it to another branch of the same store and they tell me I have to go to the Apple store to exchange it. When I pointed out that wasn't explained to me and it isn't on the receipt they sent a manager out to me. I calmly explained that it would be in everyone's best interest for me to leave, preferably quickly, with a replacement before I expressed my disappointment in no uncertain terms on the sale floor. The manager saw reason and did the exchange.
But why should someone have to jump through hoops for something bought 2 days earlier? The nearest Apple store is no where near where I bought the damn thing. I understand you go to the manufacturer for extended warranties but 2 days?

Follow up - I sent a rather snarky email to Amazon Customer Service and J Stew's brother in law (Monolina) emailed me back with an apology and I am getting free "one day" shipping and should have it tomorrow.

I should have complained four days ago.
