I remember that, was working in a record store at the time. We got an advance copy from the label and I played it while in the back doing paperwork. I immediately called the supplier and tripled our order for rush shipment to have on release day and my district manager got mad at me.
By the end of that week he was asking me to send some of my stock to his other stores that ran out.
