I think what makes it even worse is that he's from Cleveland, and basically pissed on the whole City and it's fans at the age of 25 because he's a quitter, and can't lead a team by himself to a Championship.
CORRECT!
For me it was the way they did it, Did any of the celtics have an hour long special on ESPN to say im taking my talents to beantown.
I don't understand the hatred for the Heat at all. Why don't people hate the Celtics? It is the same situation but they get a pass while the Heat seem to be Satan reincarnate. It makes absolutely no sense to me.

For every one (not just people here) saying how much they hated it the ratings were through the freaking roof. I understand that people didn't like the special but is that one event really enough to hate someone? I think people would have been pissed without the whole tv event. They hate him for leaving, it is just easier to blame it on the tv event.
Personally I don't think he owed Cleavland shit. He put in some good years and the management showed that they were not serious in building a championship team around him. So he left, BFD.
People act like he killed someone, oh wait that was the guy who played for the Browns funny the same fan base had no problem still cheering him but they will burn Lebron jerseys...

Fair enough, but with me it is mostly a case of I just never liked the guy.
It's the same thing as a train wreck, you just have to watch it.
I guess that has never appealed to me. I skipped the whole decision.
Me too. I haven't watched a basketball game since I was 14.....in 1994. Basketball sucks. It used to be a good sport.....now it's a man on man, skills competition similar to AND1. Hate the sport and will never watch it again.
I'm all about Hockey and Baseball personally. I love hockey for the camaraderie, honor, toughness and the old adage "do unto others before you get your ass whooped" mind frame. There is no better sport to play ever in my humble opinion. Your team is your family.
I love baseball too more due to my history with the sport (have played since I was 7) and the thinking aspect of it. It really is a chess game. I'm glad it's getting back to it's roots of pitching and defense. I always hated the station to station baseball and wait for a roided out freak to hit a home run. I love stolen bases, hit and runs, suicide squeezes, pitching duels, etc.
Basketball used to be team oriented with players setting up designed plays.....now it's anarchy and dunking. That sport is dead to me.
I understand what you're saying. However I still think that basketball is a good sport. I love watching college basketball. I love playing basketball. I quit watching the NBA shortly after the lockout (1999?). I'm not sure what they play in the NBA now, but I do not consider it to be basketball.

I hate LeBron and his egos (so big they divided), and I openly admit there's no substantial reason. One thing I do know is it has nothing to do with his race. All I can think of is if Sid were to ever do something like this (and lets be honest he'll have the contract done in private way in advance, never even sniffing FA) how I'd feel, and that's WITH a championship ring. I do find it funny that they're doing 'poorly' (really it's just average), but I see them getting it together at some point...sadly. I love Rondo though...he just seems like a guy that does his job and moves on. No over the top stuff, just work.
