They've actually changed the results of several of the boxing matches so far, so the appeal may actually work.

Lol. I love it. Partly just reminds me of the women's gymnastics win, which was such a cool night. I actually think it might be NBC's theme for the Fab Five, so maybe they only use it for women's gymnastics.

They usually have strong teams. 3rd all-time in medals at the Summer games. France is beating them in medals right now. Kazahstan actually has the same number of golds as them.

They really started dropping off the map once Germany unified. Communism sure has a way of producing medals. Now China is taking the reins.

Used to seeing the Germans higher in the medal standings table...The funny thing is they are doing much better in the Winter Games than in the Summer Games.

Yeah Dash - Germany definitely a double threat. I've thought of them generally as better in Winter than Summer, but they've always been good at both. Maybe the only nation (post-Soviets) besides the US that is so consistently in the hunt in so many different sports.

Is there anyone else who, especially in the wake of the Sandusky stuff, is a little uncomfortable with how much hugging, kissing, touching, etc. there is between these old gymnastics coaches and these young girls?
