That doesn't answer where I got my boyish good looks and machete sharp wit. The Miley Cyrus thing, however, may be a result of the accident.

But yet, you're better off for it. :p

I still look both ways twice before crossing any road now.

I need to get my bike out of the basement. I used to ride a bike everyday when I was younger. I could ride with no hands and everything, lol.

Nope. But I'm extra cautious out there now. Spokane drivers are pretty dumb, in general.

You weren't one of those biker jocks that would walk around all day with their pants rolled up despite not being on their bike for hours were you? :p

I tried that when I was nine years old. That was the day my face become well acquainted with gravel.

Ouch...:(

I wasn't very good at first but then it became easier with practice. Got to where I could turn pretty well and everything.

I mean, there's been times where I'm riding, and a car is trying to exit a parking lot or something, and I'm there plus a car is right in front of them and they still think it's OK to pull out. It baffles me every time I see it.

I had that for at least a year after my accident. To tell you the truth, I didn't drive a car for a couple of months after mine. The damage to my body was minimal, but the the damage to my mind...that's a different story.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but I'm glad you walked out of it. The mental stuff will go away the more you drive.

Thanks. It's been a few weeks, and I first started driving today. It's also a little bit different because I'm always driven larger vehicles (first a van and then an suv)...now I'm driving a car. But yeah, it's still a bit tense.

The guys at the car place (who evaluated my car to see if it was totaled) were very surprised that the driver walked away. So even though it sucked a ton, I am trying to still consider myself "lucky". Hard to do for a pessimist. :)

I used to carry a motorcycle helmet, and a longboard around, while my pantleg was rolled up. You know, just to show the ladies that diversity is my middle name.

I gave up on Calculus in my Junior year of high school (after years and years of annual math competitions). First week in, I just said fuck it, and I switched to an English class with the Freshmen girls.

heh. that's why I used my electives in college and university for Psychology and Philosophy. Loaded with girls, and they were largely ripe for a mind-meld. Show a little passion in whatever belief you pull out of the air and they were yours. God, I miss university :D

The hardest / most stressful tests I did were the CFA exams. Six hour exams (3 hrs in morning, 1 hr break, 3hrs in afternoon), and when I took them they were offered ONCE a year. So if you failed, you had a whole year to think about it. The pass rate hovered from 35-45% each year. There were always people just sobbing throughout the mid-day break. Some people didn't bother coming back for the afternoon. Try studying for THAT while working a full-time job. I was lucky enough to get through the three levels in successive years.

as an added bonus, the exams were usually during the Cup Finals.... prime studying time.

You really don't see too many bikers in Spokane, but every once in awhile when I'm driving, I'll notice something like that off to the side. It's pretty sad.
