In fact I'm in need of a purge...sometimes you follow someone because "hey, they're cool, why not!" then a month later you realize how stupid that person's tweets are and unfollow. I do that occasionally. I just hate when my feed has 20 new tweets a minute.

I really need to do that. I almost automatically follow NHL players as they join, but alot of them either don't tweet hardly, if at all or don't tweet anything worth reading.

Yep. I got rid of like 20+ last night, and every NHLer I can across I kept. Really should get rid of 'em. Anytime they tweet something interesting it's RT'd by the writers anyway.

the Oregon Duck lost his head in a skydiving stunt
Oregon Duck loses head in skydiving stunt for College GameDay | Local & Regional News for Eugene, Springfield Oregon | Eugene News, Weather, Sports, Breaking News | KVAL CBS 13

/no mascots were harmed, but they are searching for the head.

update: "ORE Duck head has been recovered. In one piece. A good samaritan happened upon it and returned it. Crisis averted."

Somewhere in a bar in Oregon right now is a guy in muddy camouflage talking about the "biggest Got-Damn duck you ever seen" and how he "Blowed it's head CLEAN OFF".

Ouch...Not a great way for the U of C Dinos to end their football season as they getting taken to the woodshed by McMaster. Oh well, Vanier Cup rematch should be interesting (it was a great game last year that needed OT).

Be warned 88. I'm coming to Michigan for Thanksgiving. :)

Unfortunately I'm only going to be there for a few days. We're leaving Wednesday after work and coming back either Sunday morning or Sunday night. Depending if I can get Monday after Thanksgiving off.

It'll be the first time I've been back since I moved down here 6+ years ago. I can't wait to see my friends and family that I haven't seen in awhile.

Happy for you! Michigan will welcome you back with open arms. :thumb:

I'm afraid I might not wanna go back once I get there. You don't know how much I hate it down here. If it wasn't for our jobs we would've moved back in a heartbeat.

I love my job, just hate everything else here.

That was kinda my situation in Baltimore.

Don't know what you do for a living, but any chance you can get a gig doing it in Michigan? From what I hear, the economy is picking back up up there.

Or you could come halfway, to Columbus. Things are real good here. And there's as many Wings fans as Jackets fans. You'll fit right in.

The company I work for owns companies all over the world. Ironically, it also owns the plant that my mom worked at. I check the website for job openings in mine or any compatible fields there but nothing has opened up yet. Hopefully something will open up at one of the companies in Michigan and I can transfer. Would be great since they pay to relocate!

CBus seems like such a good area to locate to right now. I'm definitely considering it. I have a cousin in the area too, so that helps. My issue as a fresh-faced grad is I have NO savings. I'm in debt. Not quite sure how to even approach jobs yet.

You can't swing a dead cat around here without hitting a medical center of some kind.

Plus these people are absolute FANATICS about high school and college sports. Most of the ice rinks have a massage table in one of the locker rooms. You probably wouldn't have too much trouble finding work here.

Now, if you were in IT and more specifically IT Security... this town is pretty much at 100% employment. The company I work for just went and hired two people, one from Cincinnati and one from Chicago and are paying to relocate them because it's so hard to find people local.

Job interviews go like this:
Them: "Do you know what the word security means?"
You: "Yes"
Them: "Here is a suitcase full of money. Can you start Monday?"

Or thereabouts.

So Kansas State and Oregon both lost tonight. Notre Dame will move to #1. Ugh...

Only ONE letter off. AT...IT. They're both vowels? Can I still have the suitcase? ...please? My profession is sorta kinda vastly underpaid you know. :)

The thing that helps in the CBus region is that it's in the same district as Indiana in the NATA. Helps my networking. PA is in a district with NJ, NY, etc. Don't really have any contact with them outside of the national meeting. I was looking into OSU as a grad school option too because they had a few openings, but grad school is looking pretty distant right now.

Notre Dame is the only unbeaten team left...

So Kansas State and Oregon both lost tonight. Notre Dame will move to #1. Ugh...

I really hate ND...it's just the team with the largest bandwagon following. Well, I probably think that because I live in Indiana. But gosh I dislike them. So to help myself cheer up I thought: at least now Bama can roll 'em up. That's honestly the worst matchup for them. They could've beaten K-State or Oregon IMO. I don't think they can hang with Bama.

Also: I HATE WHEN ND FANS PULL OUT THE GOD CARD. Yeah, I'm sure God is playing favorites. Come on. I love Jesus, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't give you an advantage because you have a mural of him on a wall. I'm only mentioning this because it just appeared on my twitter feed three times.
