Oh.
I need to get Excel fixed. I want to calculate his steals-adjusted OPS versus average.
Believe it or not, Ichiro's career OPS is below average for a right fielder.
He's only been at or above average 5 times in his 11+ year career.
Twice more he was close.
Thrice more, he wasn't even in the ballpark.
That amazes me.
I doesn't surprise me. He doesn't hit for power. Doesn't even try. Although he should. If he did, I think he could hit 25+ HRs.
Ugh. I just got in from a three hour practice and had a ninety minute one last night. My feet hurt.
since this thread is about the ocho ... this is insane!!!

I had class with Dr. Adamowicz last semester. Kind of cool that this is happening at my school.
Also cool because national interest in the PChem department will make my degree a little stronger.
Almost forgot:

So is creationism dead now?
I suppose I should add that I've seen their predictive data compared with gas phase vibrational spectroscopy experiments on this system, and they don't quite match yet, it's just a lot closer now than it used to be.
I don't know how that's relevant to Creationism, but they won't be able to run accurate simulations on the formation of stars at the universe's birth until they achieve better accuracy with their model.
On an unrelated note, no, Creationism is not dead.
I was initially gonna say "no biggie", then I remembered baseball's been around for like 150 years.
Dude!
I'm no scientist. Just the first thing to pop into my mind, I didn't even read the article.
This year marks the 143rd year of Major League Baseball.
That's a lot of hitters.
And that includes all the guys who were just called up for a week long cup of coffee, and then never saw Major League action again.
Remarkable.
