M's and Indians tied at 8 in the 7th. Wait, the Mariners scored 8 runs? At home? :jaw:

How's Ackley been? And Smoak? I predicted both would be studs at the plate very soon. Are they doing it yet?

that was pretty sweet.
that F# to F#m is one of my favourite changes in music.
(though in the real version I think it's a C to Cm)

I have no idea what that means! :thumb:

Ackley (0-3) hitting .244 with one homer and 4 RBI and Smoak (4-4 tonight) .255 with 2 long balls and 5 driven in so far on this young season.

the first one is at 0:17 in that vid.

or in the radiohead version, at 0:15.
the well timed minor chord is what give the song the 'sad' feel.
come on, man, music is math, you should know this stuff :)

I think Smoak's average will stay about where it is this year, but he'll hit 25+ over the fence and tally a good number of doubles. I'll estimate a slash line of .255/.330/.480, which is overall pretty decent, but still a little below average for a first baseman.

Ackley I think will give you a little more average and a little less power, 15-20 home runs and some doubles.

.280/.350/.410

Again, only about average, but they're both young, so it'll get better in coming years.

I see Smoak topping out around .270/.360/.500 and Ackley around .290/.390/.430, which would make Smoak and offensively average first baseman and Ackley a well-above average offensive second baseman.

I pretty much agree with all of this. Although it wouldn't surprise me to see Smoak flirt with .270 and Ackley make a run at 20+ HRs.

I wouldn't either, I just made my predictions because they play their home games in a pitcher-friendly ballpark. I think it's going to slow their development a little bit.

Believe it or not, Ichiro's career OPS is below average for a right fielder.

He's only been at or above average 5 times in his 11+ year career.

Twice more he was close.

Thrice more, he wasn't even in the ballpark.

That amazes me.
