Right. If it has no effect then it isn't the patella that's the problem.

Also the guy who sold me it said he was a runner and wore a similar one a few years back. He described the problem he had with his knee a few years back and it sounded very familiar.

Well...if it doesn't have an affect it's likely not patellar tendonitis, but...the patella (and the patellar tendon) could very well still be the problem. Another good idea: get some dixie cups (like the little ones for bathrooms?), or other paper cups, fill with water, freeze, and use as ice cups for the knee. You just tear off the bottom after they're frozen and rub on tendon for about 10 minutes or so. Great home remedy, better than a bag for your situation.

That feels great on shin splints, too. :thumb:

You ain't just whistlin' dixie!

Thanks for the tip! I'd been struggling with a ziploc bag full of icecubes.

Could be worse, you could be a fan of the Red Sux. What a dysfunctional bunch of babies (minus Pedroia) they've become.

Boo hoo, we don't like our manager.

The city practically ran their last manager out of town.

I'm surprised Francona hasn't gotten another job by now.

Maybe he's waiting for Leyland to retire.

If I didn't like Hurdle so much I'd be all over getting Francona. He's a local kid sort of too. Lots of ties to the area. He can come and be the bench boss who actually makes baseball related decisions. I'd fully support that. Hurdle can just be motivational coach guy. Perfect.

Yeah, that's why we suck the air out of bags and use small cubed ice. Sometimes on the road we'll go to places with jagged/huge cubed ice and complain for hours. Oh the things that tick us off. :) It's also a quicker/more direct icing. Good on tendonitis, shin splints, other chronic pains. I should just start a weekly seminar based on what is ailing you folks. Next week: plantar fasciitis, the morning monster!

Yep. Note how I discussed Francona making actual baseball decisions? Hurdle is regarded by most as a turrrrrrible in game manager. He just makes silly decisions.

Perfect through 7. Had a full count, went dangerous and through it down main street, got a ground out.
