Maybe I just need to get another IT contract in Seattle? The last time I was there (2001), the Mariners won 116 games.

Ritari provokes Spiderman meme. Across Spiderman meme complains Ritari. Spiderman meme promotes the workshop under his utter star. The cyclist arrives after Spiderman meme. Ritari breads the sigh.

The Pirates really need to make a move...because I'm impatient. Really impatient. No other reason...well, and to make the roster better.

The contracts being given out don't make sense for the Pirates, for the most part, and the ones which did make sense went to players who had already decided where they wanted to sign.

Regardless of our activity in free agency this year, our biggest additions will be Taillon and Polanco. And that's just fine. We can't commit to these long-term, big money deals, because then how do we afford to hold onto our young up-and-comers as they hit arbitration and eventually start looking into long-term deals into free agency? Those guys will be more affordable, and that's how we have to build, with additions here and there in free agency of small sorts.

I would actually really like Loney now, looking at everything. As a platoon partner with Sanchez, he would be an upgrade at first base offensively, and a massive upgrade defensively. Tabata, when healthy, is a fringe starter on a Major League team, so if he stays healthy, our outfield should be fine until Polanco's ready. I do want to bring back Burnett, though.

They really just need a 1B, SP/AJ return, and maybe a utility IF (Barmes cheap). I'd be happy if it were just Loney and resigning AJ. However, I have a feeling that NH may look the trade route. I agree btw that the moves made weren't ones the Bucs could've had a shot (wanted Johnson though), so I certainly don't think they missed out on anyone...just want those holes filled frankly. I need to be more patient though, because it's winter meeting this week, and that's generally when this all goes down anyway.

Hey guys, my workplace had a book drive a few weeks ago and put the leftover books in the break room for people to take. In it there is a novelization of the movie "Stargate", if anyone wants it let me know.

OK, I have gotten so many PMs about this I figured I would respond here. Yes, its a paperback and it appears it has been read. None of that will detract from the wonderfullness of the story. Here is a photo:

Roy Halladay retired. Man, what a pitcher he was. In my opinion, he should get into the Hall of Fame for sure.
