Can't help but think there are two teams that really, really, REALLY don't want to play Detroit in the postseason ever again - The Yankees and the A's.
8 IP for Verlander, 2 hits and 10 Ks. He just got the word he's done for the night. Not sure I agree with that call. He didn't look thrilled with the decision, either.
I don't hate the organization, but the arrogance their fans hold about their standing in baseball is vomit worthy. They're the Steelers/Packers fans of the MLB.
EDIT: my reasoning that they're arrogant: they literally call themselves the best fans in the world. Because winning a lot makes you the best fans in the world, obviously. The only fans I'd claim as damn good that I cheer for are Pirate fans. The true ones. Been waiting a long time. Steelers fans are obnoxious, long time Pens fans are good, but a lot of them do it because it's "cool".
Do the Red Sox and their fans bitch and moan and whine ABOUT EVERY FUCKING PITCH NOT CALLED THEIR WAY? Holy fucking sneakers, Batman. I swear it's after every pitch.
