In a regular season that has had its share of uncertainty, hurdles and challenges, the Blue Jays
were dealt another curveball Thursday when their upcoming series in Philadelphia was postponed after the Phillies reported that two staff members had tested positive for COVID-19.

Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo confirmed the postponement on a video call before Thursday afternoon’s game in Washington. Montoyo said the team plans to stay in the U.S. capital until new travel plans can be finalized.

"We’ve got to deal with it, it is what it is," Montoyo said. "Hopefully MLB works through this. We’ve got games coming up. But that’s all I know right now."

Seriously with the god awful teams like the O's and Pirates at some point you would think players on either team would just opt-out. But sadly since no one really cares about either organization it will only matter if/when Mike Trout opts out.

Seriously with the god awful teams like the O's and Pirates at some point you would think players on either team would just opt-out. But sadly since no one really cares about either organization it will only matter if/when Mike Trout opts out.

To be fair, the Canadian government left the Blue Jays out to dry by taking forever to come to a (fucking easy) decision on whether or not to allow teams to cross the border. The Jays/MLB then fucked themselves by not having a backup plan ready.

OH yeah the government did screw them over big time but MLB and the organization should have been prepared. This really goes on MLB for putting together the worst strategy to play. When you have teams in different countries this should have been something they had a strategy for.

For instance, you have to give Bettman credit (yeah I threw up a little in my mouth stating that) but kept it as simple as possible.
