I'm actually torn on balls and strikes being called by a computer. I understand the sentiment of "correctness," but pitch receiving is such a big part of catchers' skill sets, something which really sets some guys apart, and that would go away if computers called the balls and strikes. Since receiving is the most pleasing part of the game to me aesthetically (seriously, I'll just sit for extended periods of time, watching and marveling over how catchers receive the baseball), I feel like the game would lose something important going to computer umpires.

Hit batters, though, they should probably do something about.

Watch out for James Conner out of Pitt. 544 yards in his first three games. I believe he rushed for over 200 yards in the bowl game to finish out last year as well. True sophomore.

If it were someone else, I'd assume just an adjustment, but...yeah, it's Papelbon. And I know people are talking like West should be in trouble for grabbing his jersey, but when a player gets in your face like that you can move them. And I really dislike Cowboy Joe.

Joe West has a long history of trying to upstage the players

Yep, most definitely. If the player had been anyone but Papelbon I'd probably question it a bit more. And if the ump hadn't been Joe West I wouldn't question it at all. It's a combination of Ump-Show and Papelbon being a tool.

I don't want the Orioles to lose, but I am going to the game on Saturday so if they would happen to have a rough week and have a chance to clinch on Saturday I wouldn't be too upset.

http://www.masnsports.com/school-of...s-on-how-davis-helped-accident-victims-1.html

A truck crashed, and Chris Davis was there to help lift it off the driver.

Good thing he's on PEDs. Probably made it easier to lift. <-- (note: this comment does not go over well with the tons of people posting the story on facebook. )

Seriously, good on the guy for stopping to help. But the fact remains he broke the rules and got caught. We need to stop trying to use the incident as a reason to reinstate him.

Man, that was sum kinda old-fashioned baseball last night - Joseph accidentally on purpose steps on Reyes' hand on a play at the plate, lots of jawing between both benches and then Joseph gets some high heat throw at him.

All I want is the Pirates to win the division. But the Cardinals are no good stupid poo-heads.

Looks like the O's will wrap up the AL East tonight as well - Some good baseball in that little corner of the world.

It's a good night in the DMV!! :)

I don't follow the O's anymore, but I'm happy for all those Baltimore fans who have to play in a division with two teams that buy division titles every year.

Hoping for an O's/Nats Series!
