Mega Tic-Tac-Toe?

Its 9 tic-tac-toe boards in each square of a giant board of tic-tac-toe, and you have to go in the corrisponding tic-tac-toe board that the opponent played in on their last play. For instance, let's say you were in the middle square board, and you played in the top right corner. My next move would then have to be on the tic-tac-toe board in the top right square. This make any sense?

Edit: you win a square by winning the small board within the square, and then get tic-tac-toe on the big board. If you win a square, it can still be played in though, and if its filled up then the player can go anywhere that has been won.

I had 3D Tic-Tac-Toe when I was a kid. Three boards stacked, so you could win by getting the middle of each level for example.
