yeah its based between Episodes 3 and 4 (sith and hope). I believe no recurring characters just knew ones (Jedis being hunted down I think) I would imagine there would be appearances by Vader, Fett, Emperor later for ratings etc...

Eh, there is a void there and I guess there is money to make.

Did you know (and I was told this by someone who has far more knowlage of starwars than I do...) that Lucas originally wrote 12 episodes? (if that's wrong then I have to talk to my starwars nerd)

Can't be as bad as Cameron for adding 10 minutes to Avatar and putting it back out into theaters to make more money.

And the 10 minutes was spread out over the whole movie, while most of it was just a love scene between the main characters.

But honestly people think that Avatar and Inception are new ideas, and while if they are or aren't is up for discussion, it's the main reason they are successful.

Oh and Inception was also successful because of Leonardo Dicaprio's tremendous performance
