I've been there. They actually do have one in Spokane. Pretty good burgers.

There's one in your neck of the woods? All I've seen is the one we're getting in the Valley. On Sullivan, right across from Taco Bell.

Yeah they have them in So Cal. It's more of a sit down burger joint like Red Robin which is a total ripoff.

Really the only reason I liked going there as a kid was the one in Portland had an old school Tecmo Bowl arcade game.:) Burgers were pretty good though.

Why'd you head that far south on the coast?

I had to drop off a friend in Atlanta and I wanted to visit some friends in Oklahoma and Albuquerque. Took longer but it was worth it! I didn't want to drive through the middle of nowhere just to make it home sooner.

The one Fuddrucker's in SF got shut down too. I wasn't that impressed.

Well I could see going through DC, but I guess it all depends on what you have planned when you start the trip

We have very few Sonic's up here. I've only been twice. Last time I went was just a few weeks ago coming back from Tahoe. We spotted a Sonic on the way up and it was all we could talk about driving back. We made it there ten minutes before we closed and it was glorious.

I don't know why we got so excited. Probably because they are so rare in Northern California.

I remember when they opened up the Sonic in Spokane probably 5 years ago or so. The line to get in there was huge. Over a year after it opened, my sister and I went there about midnight to try and see what all the fuss was about...and there was a huge frickin line! I couldn't believe it.

Finally made it there last year in the fall. The food was alright. The experience was interesting. I can't believe that's how fast food places used to be.

It was really more about the journey. I kind of winged it. Didn't even know I was stopping in Roanoke until I did. I didn't even need to drive cross country. I borrowed someones car to do it. I just needed some time to myself and time away from home. It was an awesome road trip.
