1. Read the story. The headline should read. "Family dog keeps vigil while idiot leaves infant to go to a bar and get drunk"

2. Why even say it is a pit bull. It has zero bearing on the story.

3. Nice stock photo guys:

I am sure they couldn't have used a picture of the actual dog because it didn't have a muzzle and wasn't menacing enough.

46 when I read this story I honestly thought of you and the way you have said there is a media bias when it comes to pit bulls. I always had a bad impression of these dogs but must admit that you're right when it comes to the way they are mentioned in articles like this. Why was it relevant to mention the dogs breed?

Buddy is snoring loudly as I sit here typing. He's exhausted from watching me work today....

Not a great day here. My dog has been really thirsty lately, drinking more than double what he was drinking months ago so we took him to the vet. His tests came back and said his liver levels were really low. That could be anything from something mild all the way up to cancer so I am hopeful it will be decent news but I have been worried about him for a week or so. Hes been at the vet all day getting an ultrasound to determine the next step. So for the first time in 10 years I am home without him and its just odd.

Now the conflicted part of my feelings, yesterday he got into something he shouldn't have and I went to grab his muzzle to say bad dog and in the process I got bit on the thumb. It happened so fast I don't know whether it was on purpose, or just an accident. He made no aggressive noise and didn't seem to know anything happened afterwards (often times if he does something bad he gets a look of shame) and since it has never happened in 11 years before I will treat it like an accident.

So here I am home and lonely worried about him, and at the same time still kind of mad and in pain. The skin was broken and I don't like the way its swelling or the way one of the punctures is looking so I have a doctors appointment later today. So its not a real fun day so far.

Sounds like I have a case of the Mondays.

I am sorry to hear about all of that man. Dog bites do infect very quickly, especially if they are of the puncture type because they close up and create an anaerobic environment which can promote growth. If there is swelling, redness and heat, go to Urgent Care and get a cycle of antibiotics and a good scrub out.

That's what I should have done yesterday. Now I know. The doctor today prescribe me some antibiotics but told me he thinks he is just being cautious. Hopefully.
