Just need to vent. We have moved to a new office and I can't risk being on internet. We have been really slow so yesterday I read the hockey news rookie issue and 15 pages out of a book. One of these bitches went to management saying that I must have nothing to do. In the meantime I had all of my work done.

I am surrounded by nosy fucking women. Mind your own fucking business.

Seriously, who goes to mgmt over petty stuff like that? Heck, as long as work is getting done, customers are happy, and deadlines are being met, mgmt should chastise those workers for wasting company time with such frivilous crap.

My question to my manager was if they are so busy how do they have time to watch what i am doing?

This pettiness has gone on for as long as i have been here. It stems from my old job was considered surplus so this department took us on. 12 of us total. Since we were deemed surplus we kept our job title and our pay rate. We make more money than the reps that do all of the bitching.

My job consists of being a liasion for the former MCI (which is now Verizon Business). I work for Verizon. The reps we share a department with are tied to their phones all day with large business customers. Since they don't see me on the phone 8 hours a day, i must not be doing anything in their eyes.

Bottom line, if you hate your job so badly, do like i did. Take the intercompany tests, get a job that isn't in a call center. Maybe then you could have a higher pay rate and not have to deal with external customers all day long. No, don't do that, bitch about someone cracking a magazine.
