OT:Ghana-USA GDT

Really wish the ref would have carded a Ghana guy for unsportsmanlike. We would have still lost, mind you, but the reason people stall (and we would have done the same thing, too) is because they don't think they'll be penalized for it. Simple economics, folks.

the choices they have are:
- card
- stop the clock again
- cart the guy off to the sidelines, and make the team play with 10 for a while (player needs ref's permission to come back onto the field)

I would think a combo of 2 and 3 would be a deterrent (the team isn't gaining anything), but I guess not. It doesn't really make sense to flop down for 4 minutes if they stop the clock anyways.
