The ESPN commentators make a great point: the Danes held the ball. They were allowed a LOT of possession. Unlike the underdogs that usually hold a lead and just boot the ball down field to waste time, the Danes got possession, moved it up field, kept pressure on.

Not to take anything away from them at all, but the Dutch made that very doable late with little pressure on the ball.

Definitely. I mean, the Danes did a great job in possessing the ball, but the Dutch did absolutely nothing to change that for most of the game. I think the aggressive D of the Danes just frustrated the Dutch.
