yah i agree with puckhead the 5 guys in our parts are kinda meh imo ... is it because of the exchange rate that makes it lesser ... like only 4.45 guys :noidea:

Do your Five Guys have the boxes of peanuts all around? Or are they too considerate to kids with peanut allergies?

Because the presence of peanuts makes a huge difference.

No, they don't serve peanuts here.
The biggest cool factor was ordering a side of fries, and they just pretty much fill up the bag with them.
And, of course being able to have 600 toppings all at once is neat.

Talking about it.... Hmmm, maybe I should go back!

So weird that they don't do the peanut thing. Although at first I found it odd that the did do the peanut thing here. But it is nice shelling and munching on roasted peanuts while waiting on the food.

And yeah, they load the bag up with fries here too. They just recently started offering an "Individual" size fry which is supposed to come in a kids size drink cup. But they still dump a half pound of fries in the bag on top. First time I went, I ordered a large fry. That was a mistake.

When at 5 Guys do you guys get the regular cheeseburger or the "little" cheeseburger? I admit to getting the regular and not being hungry for the next 8 hours.

I get the little and the individual fry. And even then I don't feel like eating for a long time afterwards.

I dont eat that many fries and eat more burger. You see fries are fried in fat and are really bad for you. I fill up on the two lean patties of meat and the multiple slices of low cal cheese and bacon the burger has.

Hell yeah and those cheese fries are really good also. If you go during lunch hours the line will be ridiculous at every shake shack. If you go any other time plz avoid the one on Madison square park which is the original shake shack which is why it's always crowded. I work on the upper east side and the shake shack 2 blocks from my job on 86th and Lexington is usually not too busy after lunch hours

When I lived on the UES that one was always packed (line well out the door) after work, but I moved out of the neighbourhood only a few months after it opened so it must have calmed down some.

My favourite burger on the Upper East Side was Ottomanelli's at 88th and Park, is it still there?

I kind of feel the same way about Five Guys. When I first went, I thought it was awesome, but now it's not all that special

But then again we do have Smash Burger now and two other local burger chains that blow it away. So that could have something to do with it.

Smash Burger kills 5 guys. Love the burger with the peppers!
