I'd be okay with Carey, as long as it's not over-the-top Carey. He's a good actor when he's subtle.

Martian Manhunter is an essential Justice Leaguer, in my opinion. He has to be there in some capacity, or it's not the Justice League to me. It's just a collection of DC heroes.

Also, Justice League Doom is worth a watch, if you haven't seen it already.

You just can't beat a Green Lantern voiced by Nathan Fillion who is that creative with his ring. I loved the Cat's Cradle escape when he was fighting Star Sapphire.

Yeah it looks pretty disappointing. I think we've discussed this before, but it looks so much different than how the book was. When I first heard Brad Pitt was involved I was pretty fired up, I thought he'd be the UN interviewer and they'd just do flash back scenes with the various people being interviewed. This looks nothing like that. I hate Hollywood sometimes.

JL is undergoing a page one rewrite (or so they say). The rumor is that they're making it fit more inline with Man of Steel's Superman. I guess the cast could change too.

/Really hoping to see Bale's Batman back and not the expected reboot.

If they use Bale's Batman, he'll almost have to act in an "advisory" kind of role. It seemed to me that at the end of Dark Knight Rises, he was pretty done with the whole beating up bad guys thing, both physically and mentally.

I'm also afraid Nolan's Batman universe wouldn't jive with Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, etc. Everyone in Nolan's universe were just people.

I cant see any crossover of Nolans batman. I just think like you it was focused on a much more real universe as well. nolan and bale just seemed done with that franchise as well to me

The 'theme' that's being promoted in the new Superman movie is 'how would he fit into the real world?' It sounds like the same tone to me.

The issue here is that a rebooted Batman would need to be pretty similar to Bale's Batman anyway. Why not bring Batman back to put together his version of the League of Shadows - the Justice League?

I really like what I am seeing in Man of Steel so far. Im very exicted for this I have not had a good superman movie.... um ever? its hard to say I rewatch the originals and see so many good things then I see Superman pulling plastic from his chest and wrapping it around Non..... Superman III, and IV were just brutal. Superman Returns had great elements but the wrong lead for me. this looks like its pulling it all together.

Superman is meant to be the launch for the JL movie, similar to Iron-man for the Avengers. I wouldn't expect any cameos at the end, but WB has said that they are trying to put out MoS, JL and then the rebooted Batman.

Rebooting Batman seems too risky to me. If they want to cash in on a team-up movie then they should use the one that will bring the most draw in.
