As a Canadian, he should be able to keep the bulk of those winnings, should he not? I know the IRS licks its chops when an American hits the jackpot, but I don't believe it's the same case for Canadians.

I'd imagine he's paying taxes to at least one of the countries. If he's lucky it's the States. Aren't Canadian taxes higher for the health care thing?

Anyway, mixed feelings about the canuck. Kinda like when you guys got a baseball team up there. That was cute...until you fucking won.

Just saw it on TSN, and awesome moment for poker in Canada. Was only a matter of time before someone from here won. I wonder how Mr. Negreanu is taking this.
