As mentioned earlier by puck and jstew, I too have been over those bridges hundreds of times. Does Olympia get any of the Washington state casino money? Might be time to divert some funds into bridge repair.

Wasn't there another bridge collapse in Seattle a few years back?

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that it might just be time to take some of those people collecting unemployment and teach them how to fix bridges.

See this is why I wish we could choose exactly how our tax dollars were spent. I'd be all on board with my tax money paying to fix the infrastructure of this country. Bridges, pot holes, new highways, that's something that can actually help me.
