OT: Boardwalk Empire Season Two!

Yea, I'm amped for this and Dexter. But Game of Thrones is my numero uno.

It's a tossup between Game of Thrones and Boardwalk. Season 1 Game of Thrones was better, Season 2 of Boardwalk just took it to another level for me. Both great. I gave up on Dexter after the Julia Stiles debacle.

I still love Dexter, but it has taken a backseat. Same with Spartacus. Both took a dive, but I just love the characters too much.

I don't know about anybody else but I am beyond fired up for season 3. Last season put this series in my personal number 1 spot. There are some other great ones (Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Mad Men, Breaking Bad), but this one has the best mix of action, acting, plotline/character development, and cinematography. Any chance a mod could change the title so it's just Boardwalk Empire rather than start a new thread?

Yea... I really liked his character. I'm really curious to see what comes of Richard Harrow with Jimmy gone. I still think it is going to be great. It looks like shit is hitting the fan in this season, lots of whacks going down.

Bunch of plot lines I'm curious to see now. What happens to Richard? Is Agent Van Alden totally out of the picture? How will Nucky react when he finds out Margaret signed over the land deed? And we have a new bad guy that everyone seems to hate so you're less torn as to which side to root for.

First episode was awesome. Completely set the tone for the entire season, a number of very intriguing story lines. The new villain seems like he could be an All-Time asshole. Can't wait to see where they take this.

I like the new protagonist they introduced, Gyp Rosetti. Finally a clear cut nice person to route for.

Another great episode last night. Much more of a setup episode but just about every scene was captivating. Every character is intriguing. They didn't even have the guaranteed to be amazng Dean O'Banion/Al Capone storyline. I had forgotten how great Chalky was.

Best scenes from last night....

"You still think I'm interesting?" -Chalky to his daughter, so much packed into such a small statement

"He got a gun.... and he got a gun.... EVERYBODY GOT GUNS!" -Seen it in the previews, it's just a great line, and the actor playing that guy (blanking on his name) is great. We've transitioned to full blow gangsterism now.

I also loved this scene with Nucky and Ms. Kent where he talked about what he would do with his life... and she told him he couldn't do that. The look on Nucky's face was fantastic - just this dull realization that he was trapped in the life he has now whether he wants it or not. There IS no walking away from it. Great scene.

I was wrong - this show is plenty compelling without Jimmy.

Haha, so good. That diner scene was so uncomfortable. I felt so bad for the girl behind the counter.

He's such an asshole. I love it though. From the previews I thought it was going to be over the top, and it is (his character), but it fits. I am waiting for him to lose his shit.
