OT: Big 10 Conference Alignment

News came in today about the new divisional alignment for the soon to be expanded 12 team format of the Big Ten.

Division 1: PSU, OSU, Indiana, Purdue, Wisconsin and Illinois

Division 2: Michigan, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern and Minnesota.

What does everyone think about this?

At least there won't be a 'shared Big-10' title anymore. I hated that bullshit. Location of the conference championship will be in Indianapolis @ Lucas Oil Stadium.

That is an o.k. choice, but I'd rather it be outdoors.

It finishes off the UofM/OSU rivalry. The "Big Game" means absolutely zilch now. Big Ten shot itself in the foot.

Somebody help me out here (because I'm not the biggest NCAA football fan) - I know Texas - Oklahoma is a big rivalry game, but Oklahoma - Nebraska wasn't too far behind. I guess the Huskers and Sooners won't be playing as often, then?!?

Mich and OSU will still play the last game of their schedules, but "The Game" is still very much diminished in my view by a championship game and the possibility of a rematch for the division title.
