The show isn't over yet, but Best Supporting Actress winner Melissa Leo(The Fighter) dropping an uncensored F bomb on live television is the best Oscar moment of the past 10 years. :D

Uhh...beyond that moment and Kirk Douglass being hilarious, there's been nothing but awkwardness and predictability. JMO though. F-bomb was censored for me though. Hahah

I really don't know why people keep giving Portman awards. Such an overrated movie and performance.

Absolutely no surprises in any of the major awards. I went 6 for 6 in the top awards.

The Kings Speech was a typical best picture. I'm sure its well done and acted, but it looks like a typical safe Oscar pick. A movie based on a real person with either a physical or psychological obstacle to overcome often equals Oscar gold. Unless of course they go full retard like Sean Penn in "I Am Sam" and Tugg Speedman in "Simple Jack". Plus they at least show footage of Nazis so it was evident that was going to win.

For supporting actor I really hoped John Hawkes would win, I thought he was great in Winters Bone. I knew he wouldnt though.

Never go full retard.

I thought King's Speech was a worthy winner, though I confess not to having seen any of its competitors.

I don't mean to pick on The Kings Speech so much as the Oscars. I haven't seen it, but will. I saw Inception, Winters Bone, and The Kids Are All Right. Actually out of these 10 movies I will probably eventually see them all, they all look decent to me.

It was a good year for movies, I agree. I'll probably wind up watching all of those you mentioned.
