OT: BCS Complaint Thread

I'd like to see the NHL move toward a BCS style system where the top two teams are just voted into the Finals each year. This would give my team a much better chance at winning a Cup since we excel at winning one round or less and are often near the top of the "power rankings."

As for wanting Baylor or K-State in over Virginia Tech, because you like watching them more....well....I don't know what to tell you but defense can be fun as well. What was your argument for Snyder again? He did a good coaching job? Beamer's team has the third longest bowl streak in the nation and the longest streak of ten win seasons. His team won 11 games this year after losing their quarterback and two star running backs to the draft. He did all of this in the ACC which was better than the awful Big 9 this year.

They were talking about Michigan getting a BCS bid when they were ranked 16th a week ago and people are cracking on VT for getting their 2nd loss in their conference CG and not deserving. Clemson has the talent to be a top 5 team and they showed it early then locked their division and took a nap. I honestly don't think BSU deserves to be in ahead of us but I think they deserve to be in ahead of Michigan and definetly WVU but the auto bid is another discussion. Michigan could have easily and should have lost to OSU.

What are you talking about? The ACC sucks remember. We only have 3 less players drafted into the NFL than the SEC (who is first) over the past 5 years and second in first round picks.

I don't care about the past. Heck back in 2006 Michigan was ranked 2nd in the nation & they weren't given a chance at a rematch with Ohio St. Now because it's the SEC, Alabama gets a rematch. The whole system is a joke.

They don't take into account who the top teams are. They only care about what school they believe will bring the most fans to the stadium. The good ol boy network got what they wanted. Michigan is far less deserving of a BCS game than Virginia Tech which I already said, but their fanbase will buy up the tickets like crazy so they get the bid. The system needs to go. Fortunately it ends in 2013. Hopefully people will wise up & realize a playoff is the only way to go.

Snider is the only coach who seems to be able to win at Kansas St. As far as losing player to the draft, give me a break. Look at all the talent Alabama lost to the draft. It's called recruiting. When a player leaves or goes down with an injury somebody else has to step up.

Didn't most of those come from UNC though? Heck the Tar Heels have a rookie starting QB in the NFL who was a 5th round pick. Good for the ACC

Game I want to see OK State vs LSU

Two best teams in the country Bama & LSU

I would prefer a playoff system but since there isn't one, these are the best two teams. OK State lost to IOWA STATE! Can you really argue with a straight face that any team that loses to Iowa State is the top team in the country? (sorry Auto)

Also, if Bama wins the title game they are the champions, period. Were the Giants not really the champions when they beat the Patriots? The played each other earlier that year and New England beat them by a bigger margin than the Giants won the SB. It has become popular to hate the BCS even when they have the top two teams in the title game.

VT deserves a BCS game. The Big East sucks. Michigan should have been in the title game rematch a few years back. And I think that about covers it...

At least TCU won their conference. Which is something Virginia Tech, Michigan St. & Michigan didn't do.

If Baylor doesn't suffice take Kansas St. instead. They're ranked higher & Snider has done an incredible job.

i get that you dont respect the ACC, but really. the MWC? come on man.. i dont care if TCU won their conference.. southern miss won their's too, does that mean they should get in? and why should stanford get in a BCS game, they lost their conference but were also left off your list. and why on earth doesn't arkansas st get any mention? they won their conference and only had 2 losses (VT and illinois), by your logic they have just as good a resume as any other 2 loss team that won their conference

and in the same post you said teams that dont win their conference shouldn't be in a BCS game and then you want baylor or kstate to go..

make up your mind bolts.. you cant just pick and choose your arguments based on which teams you want to see.. i think it'd be cool to see an oregon st / tennesee game because both teams are orange, doesn't mean they should be in a BCS game
