What's funny is that not a drop has fallen yet. Sucks for people who paid. I imagine a lot of folks can't go to the 4pm game. Not to mention money paid for parking/food/etc.

Had they started the game at 8, they'd have gotten in at least an hour-and-a-half already.

Talking with my Cardinals fan co-worker. If the Tigers and Cardinals meet in the WS again, he is going to take me to a game with him! His Uncle works for the Cardinals and he says he usually can get tix no problem. Oh man that would be fricken AWESOME!

If I do, I am gonna go and buy me a Verlander jersey just for the game. Or I just may wear my Higgy jersey I always wear.

Eli Manning used to get the same treatment until he started winning. Now everybody loves him. All A-Rod has to do is not be terrible and that would all go away. He's a socially awkward mental wreck though. I'd imagine he's just praying for the day he can retire or be traded to a place where there is no pressure on him. Some people can handle the pressure associated with New York (Jeter, CC, Kuroda) and others just crumble when you turn the screws.

Rangers offered ridiculous money, he'd have been crazy not to take it.

That's embarassing. I've said all year to my Yankee Fan friends, the Yanks play fake baseball. Everyone on the team has awful batting averages but a ton of home runs and RBIs. If they don't hit HRs they lose because they aren't capable of playing small ball. Now they have run into a team that can match them in terms of power and plays much better defense and can pitch. Their flaws are being exposed big time.

100%. The right field wall is a godsend to that team. Most of those HRs are pop flys at Citi.
