Vey impressive, Dash....you're hired!

lol...The funny thing is that I've been hired more often on phone interviews than face-to-face interviews. That's a good thing because I have a good phone voice (and a great face for radio).

I tend to go against the grain but I say let the personality show. In my interview they asked me why I thought that I could improve their accounting department, I responded by saying:

"I've been told I'm so anal I can suck a couch cushion up from underneath me."

Luckily they both laughed and offered me the job three days later.

On second thought, don't do that...

And here I always thought that was Daryl Sutter in your Avatar. :D

Feel good and look good going in. If you have some morning ritual that makes your day, do it. I enjoy taking my time and making a nice big omelette, but if you feel like a million bucks after one of those big greasy steak egg and cheese bagels at McDonalds, do it.

Prepare yourself mentally. I'm not a very sociable guy, so I have to work harder on this than others. But you need to exude confidence walking in. You have the job already, the hiring manager just doesn't know it yet. You are the perfect man for the job, you just need to explain why. You need to show him how YOU can help his company. Why you will make his company stronger and better.

Know about the company you are interviewing for. Ask informed questions (not "where is the pop machine and how many breaks do we get?). Do some research on the company and know what they specialize in. Know their competition. Interview him a little, show him you are interested and knowledgeable.

Don't overdo it on the coffee before hand. You don't want to look like a jittery crack head.

If he doesn't hire you on the spot, slap him with your cock and walk out the door like you own the place.

Jeez, Slim, I don't think he's interviewing for a role in a pron film.

As someone who has been on both sides of interviews I have to say first impressions have a way of setting up the rest of the interview. That said looking good and feeling confident are a must but the thing that I really notice is the handshake. I personally lose respect for a man that does not have a firm handshake.
