Thought this would be a fun little exercise, I want everyone to post a Kings player from 1990 on that just annoyed TF out of you but I also want to know why and back it up.

End of the season we keep a tally and see who ended up being the most irritating.

Negative, was not a lockout year. I just picked 1990 because it's a round number. Doesn't have to be chronological, any year works from 1990+.

Going back to those days, I'd say Ilkka Sinisalo because I couldn't spell his name.

High 2nd round pick if I recall, he was the centerpiece of that Gretzky trade.

I remember seeing his first few games in LA and the blazing speed, I was like wow this dude has some talent. Then the hands showed themselves over the next few years, I really don't know how he scored 17 goals in 1997-98 for LA, he scored 40 total the remaining 9 years of his career. I always remember seeing one of two things with him:
- blazing down the RW, pulling the Messier off foot wrister, missing the net and clearing it himself or
- getting plastered entering the zone on the RW right at the blue line, losing the puck and transition the other way

Interesting fact, I was meeting a new CPA in 2015 or so in Newport Beach, someone who was referred to me and said may make a good business contact for you. He picked a cafe there, I met him, had a good meeting and he left. I noticed Neidermeyer and HOS were in that cafe having breakfast, after a while I walked up to both of them and they invited me to sit down with them. Neidermeyer was retired and a consultant for Anaheim, Johnson was the head coach at J Serra HS or something for ice hockey.

All kidding aside, good guys. Took some photos with me, HOS ran me through the Gretzky trade and what he was feeling, Neidermeyer talked about his decision to come to Anaheim (mostly his brother but he also felt they had a very complete team to win a Cup which is why he took less to come to Anaheim after NJ).

Johnson felt immense pressure being the key in that trade - can't blame the guy.

Arto Blomsten - because he was a defenseman and wore #35.

He had his moments, but he was never a legitimate #1. Big reason why the Avs made the trade for Roy and ended up moving Fiset.

Had a great goat though...

I’m going two-fer.

The Vopats. One of them came over in the Gretzky trade with the Blues.
They were as useless as a jockstrap on a mannequin. Both were a waste of space.

Jan and Roman. Roman came over in the Gretzky trade. Big centerman, I actually don't remember him being that bad.

Brother Jan the defenseman, now is a European scout for LA.

Nelson Emerson.

- Bowlbys friend/roommate at Bowling Green
- changed numbers 3 times in his single year here (7, 17, 19). You seriously think a number change was going ro mask how shitty a hockey player you were?
- two stupid first names
