Not sure how it became a substitute for "because"

I would go back to Jeff Sly and let the beginning of the hockey season drown out memories of this little experiment. I had a friend who decided he wanted to go by "Bud" instead of Chris one year in school. It lasted about a week. We still give him shit for it. With a name like CONSTANTGardener, I can only imagine it will be worse. I would nix this now before it gets too bad.
