That's how it always works. By the time he's (potentially) a real threat to him Bolt will be retired anyway.

I think it's the same reason People's Sexiest Man Alive tends to skew older. No one's afraid to talk you up and support you when you're not a threat to them (and yes, I understand that 50+ movie stars are still a little threatening, but less so than ripped 23 year olds)
