The sequel to Orphan Black, starring Krysten Ritter and Keeley Hawes, will premiere on Sunday, June 23, 2024, on AMC. Trailer:
Just to give y'all an idea about this show here's what happens in episode 2 (no real spoilers).
There's this super smart doctor who just can't figure out why her human test subjects are losing their memories. Obviously the only possible solution is that the test subjects need cocaine. Unfortunately coke is illegal.
But this gal, let me tell ya, she's smart. So she knows how to acquire it no problem. All she has to do is call her gay 70 year old uncle so he can get fucked in the ass in a bar bathroom in exchange for the coke.
Then she goes to her lab, injects a rat with the cocaine, and throws the rat in a tub of water until it drowns. Thus proving that cocaine was not actually what she needed to solve her problem.
Best show ever.

So the show takes place 40 years in the future?Well. I guess you missed a lot. Sure it is not as good as the original but you missed all the references.
The very smart doctor is the daughter of the main clone, the gay uncle is the best friend of the main clone.
Both characters from the original. Of course not the same actor/actress.

Kira is the “crazy smart scientist”? Is Maslany in this, or they recast her?Basically.
No doubt the show is not the original. And I would love an explanation on why Kira would be creating the clones when her entire life was so crazy because of the clones. But I am sure they will explain that one episode.

Edit: NM. I got Kira and Cosima confused.
I noticed in the IMDB cast list, Delphine makes at least an appearance…They showed a picture of maslany on Kira’s desk. And they mentioned Cosima. I doubt she will be in this, but I’m sure they will mention them more often, or talk to them on the phone. Or whatever.
Kind of impossible to miss those references since they directly name them all multiple times. I was trying to keep that post mostly spoiler free. Nothing I said really gives major plot away.Well. I guess you missed a lot. Sure it is not as good as the original but you missed all the references.
